Rent a camper van in Seattle and explore the Northwest!
You’re going to be seeing green for days and days when you head out on your Pacific Northwest road trip in your GoCamp camper van. Green trees, blue-green waters, and (let’s be honest) a tinge of green envy cause of your sweet adventure rig! Our camper van rentals have enjoyed some pretty nice upgrades that make renting a dream come true.
Anacortes
You might be eager to drive your camper van onto the ferry and head off to the islands, but Anacortes is a lovely spot to rest your wheels a minute, and let your feet take over. Not far from Seattle, Anacortes is home to so many wonderful outdoor activities, like hiking and kayaking, and wandering through the urban green spaces and the historic downtown. Then make your reservation for the ferry, and drive aboard to visit and camp on the islands. Please make sure to plan ahead and know the current requirements for health and safety.
Chuckanut Drive
Chuckanut Drive is not only fun to say, it’s also Washington’s original scenic byway. Just south of Bellingham, Chuckanut Drive hugs the shoreline and will take you and your camper van crew through Larrabee State Park to explore tidepools and hike trails, and then on into the relaxing and colorful, historic district of Fairhaven.
Leavenworth
Scoring a backcountry permit into the heart of The Enchantments — an alpine wonderland within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness near Leavenworth, Washington — is a backpacker’s ultimate lottery dream come true. And hard to come by. But finding a beautiful place to camp in your camper van for a few days isn’t hard at all. Check out in the ridiculously charming Bavarian village of Leavenworth, hike Icicle Creek, float the Wenatchee River, or just chill in your van with cocoa and a podcast while you watch the leaves change color.
Long Beach
It’s a lonnnng beach. So you’ll probably want to break up the 28-mile stretch of Long Beach over a long weekend if you plan to walk the whole length. Take a stroll at low tide to see what tiny creatures call Long Beach home. Go birding at the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge. Listen to the thwap of your footsteps on the boardwalk. Or head to Cape Disappointment State Park where you’ll be anything but disappointed by the abundance of trails and stunning shoreline.
Hama Hama Oysters
There’s a whole lot more to explore on the Olympic Peninsula, but we think it’s perfectly acceptable to plan your trip around an oyster feast at Hama Hama in Lilliwaup, Washington. Once you’ve had your freshwater fill, you can seek out hot springs at Sol Duc, or set your intention to cruise mode and drive the entire Olympic Peninsula Loop in your ready-to-roam, home-on-wheels.
