Devil’s Bridge

Calling all adventurers! Whether you’re renting a camper van in Phoenix, Flagstaff, or Sedona, The Devil’s Bridge is your next must-see stop on your journey. On the 3.9-mile out-and-back trail, moderate hikers will see cacti, wildflowers, and world-renowned red rocks before reaching the natural sandstone arch. Don’t look down! While the bridge is wider than it looks, you’ll still need a brave heart to snap that once-in-a-lifetime pic. If you can stick it out, then be sure to tell us all about it in your post-trip review!

You’ll need to park by the Mezcal trailhead with a Red Rocks Pass in hand, so be sure to get there before seven in the morning when parking fills up! Yep, it’s THAT famous. So hit the road, Jack!

Grand Canyon National Park

The one, the only, Grand Canyon National Park! As one of the United States’ pride and joys, the Grand Canyon cannot be topped. With incomparable vistas and hikes that will leave you breathless (literally), this iconic landmark is the picture-perfect example of erosion gone wild. It’s a three and a half hour drive from Phoenix. And your crew can cruise through the Desert View Drive to see every bit of what the Grand Canyon has to offer. As a result of its popularity, campsites fill months in advance at the Grand Canyon. So if you want a place to park Sonoran Sunrise, you’ll need to do some planning in advance.

(P.S. If you’re looking for the perfect van to visit the northern rim of the Grand Canyon, check out our camper vans in Springdale/Zion. And if the national forests are calling your name, then you gotta rent a camper van in Sedona/Flagstaff!)

Petrified Forest National Park

After a 3.5-hour drive from Phoenix, you can see the vibrant landscape of the Petrified Forest. Only Mother Nature can create this dazzling intersection of art and science. And now, thanks to camper van Sonoran Sunrise, you can experience it first-hand! Crafted over centuries beneath the earth’s surface, this ancient wood blended with ground minerals to become the most gorgeous ‘stones’ you’ll ever see. Shades of orange, purple, and green will shimmer before your eyes as you hike across the desert landscape. Whether you want to cruise around, hit the trails, or even go geocaching, the Petrified Forest is an absolute must.

BONUS: It’s pet-friendly! You can bring your furry, scaly, or feathered friend along for the adventure too. And don’t forget to tell us all about it in your post-trip review!

Horseshoe Bend

Whether you want to float, hike, or fly, Horseshoe Bend has it all! Known as a “social media darling”, this pet, stroller, and ADA-friendly destination will be the highlight of your trip. After paying a $10 parking fee and a short 1.5-mile hike, you’ll reach the overlook of Horseshoe Bend. Prepare to gaze out over the incredible canyon carved over centuries by the Colorado River.

Because this outlook is widely known for being one of the top attractions in Arizona, GoCamp asks you to Leave No Trace. Let’s work together to care for the world around us!

Antelope Canyon

Haven’t had enough of the warm red rocks of Arizona? Then it’s time for Antelope Canyon! Just 7 miles from Horseshoe Bend, this final destination guarantees the memory of a lifetime. Located on the private land of the Navajo Nation, you can step into another world as you traverse the winding slot canyons formed by flooding, erosion, and wind. There are numerous trails throughout the canyons. When you’re ready, book a guided tour on the right trail for your solo trip, family vacay, or pal adventure. And get ready for sights you’ll never forget.
