Bridal Veil Falls
Just a quick hop outside of Telluride, CO is the tallest free-falling fall in Colorado, Bridal Veil Falls. The drive up to the falls is steep, gravelly, and best suited for all-wheel drive vehicles. Park your home on wheels in the Valley View Parking Area and hike (or bike!) the remaining 1.8 miles to the falls at your leisure. There’s a ton to explore in the Telluride surrounding area, and no shortage of unique public and private campsites to choose from.
Garden of the Gods
This place rocks! Garden of the Gods is a designated National Natural Landmark near Colorado Springs, CO. The red rock formations were created during a geological upheaval along a natural fault line millions of years ago. There’s archaeological evidence that prehistoric people have been visiting (and camping!) here since as early as 1330 BCE! Though modern visitors have no need to seek shelter from the rocky outcroppings, Garden of the Gods still woos nearly two million visitors a year with its rich and diverse natural landscape, 21 miles of trails, and limitless opportunity for adventure.
Grand Mesa Scenic Byway
The Grand Mesa Scenic Byway is 63 miles of your sweetest #vanlife daydreams. The byway goes through the Grand Mesa National Forest that’s dotted with alpine meadows and 400 miles of trails. Oh! Can’t forget the dozens of trout-filled lakes and sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains either. This picturesque road will be one for the books. So find somewhere in the Grand Mesa National Forest to drive in and camp, and then let the road move you!
